WHAT IS COACHING?
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaching can involve mindset changes, brainstorming, values clarification, goal setting, identifying plans of action, creating systems and structures, as well as team development.
WHAT COACHING IS NOT…
Therapy
Counseling
Advice-Giving
Mental Health Care
Treatment for abuse
Coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, or other professional services.
WHO IS COACHING FOR?
People who are willing to embrace the process to increase your capacity and expand your influence.
WHAT KIND OF COACHING DO I SPECIALIZE IN?
I partner with leaders that find themselves stuck in their current team dynamics. Through coaching we discover the necessary tools and practices that move a team from dysfunction to a place where there is healthy and clear communication, collaboration, and increased effectiveness.
WHAT other kind of coaching do you do?
Although my niche is in leadership, I enjoy coaching other areas of life and work.
Personal Development- This could include goal setting, spiritual growth, and relationship restoration/building.
Global Life- After spending the last 13 years living and working within teams in Africa, I understand the complexities of living and working in a foreign context. We can focus our time on adjusting to new norms (transition), culture shock, working within teams, language learning, family/work life balance, and more.
Team Coaching- This could include assessments to better understand the current team climate, tools to equip your teams for better communication, and goal setting to equip your team to reach the collective goals. Team coaching can look like boards, ministry teams (large or small), and business staff.
WHAT ARE MY QUALIFICATIONS?
I have spent over 20 years leading teams in the church, missions, and business world. I have spent countless hours investing in my own personal leadership development through mentorship, coaching, listening to leadership and business podcasts and reading books galore to increase my capacity to serve others within the church and beyond. This has given me the opportunity to partner with a diverse group of individuals from various cultures, ages, and stages of life through 1:1 coaching and discipleship.
I am a certified Christian Leadership Coach and currently pursuing an ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential with the International Coaching Federation.
