WHAT IS COACHING?

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Coaching can involve brainstorming, values clarification, the completion of written assignments, education, goal setting, identifying plans of action, accountability, making requests, agreements to change behavior, examining lifestyles and questioning.

WHAT COACHING IS NOT…

  • Therapy

  • Counseling

  • Advice-Giving

  • Mental Health Care

  • Treatment for abuse

Coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, recovery from mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal assistance, or other professional services.

WHO IS COACHING FOR?

People who are basically well-adjusted, emotionally healthy, functioning effectively, and want to make changes in their lives.

WHAT KIND OF COACHING DO I SPECIALIZE IN?

I partner with pastors and leaders that find themselves stuck in their current team dynamics. Through coaching we discover the necessary tools and practices that move a team from dysfunction to a place where there is healthy and clear communication, collaboration, and increased effectiveness.

WHAT ARE MY QUALIFICATIONS?

I have spent over 20 years leading teams in the church, missions, and business world. I have spent countless hours investing in my own personal leadership development through mentorship, coaching, listening to leadership and business podcasts and reading books galore to increase my capacity to serve others within the church and beyond. This has given me the opportunity to partner with a diverse group of individuals from various cultures, ages, and stages of life through 1:1 coaching and discipleship.

I will be completing my certification as a Christian Leadership Coach through Coach Approach Ministries in just a few weeks.
